This house is a complete insurance write-off. There will be no repair possible. It will be torn down completely, and rebuilt, perhaps reusing the foundation, if that.
Houses on either side were damaged as well, tens of thousands to each.
One truck in the driveway is also likely toast.
Thankfully, from what I've gleaned from neighbours so far, nobody died, which is a good thing, considering this fire happened in the middle of the night, approximately three o'clock.
I slept through it, which troubles me greatly. A person a few doors up, and on the other side of the street, was hosing down his house, effectively keeping his home from catching as a result of flying burning cinders.
Ashes from the fire are all over the streets today, and everything smells burnt.
My heart goes out to all affected by this tragedy.
