I have two 40 gallon fishtanks in the garage, I suppose I could do a jar in a fishtank. but they're being used as shelves.:D

I meant make the jar into a fish tank. Get a large jar and fill the bottom with stones, lots of water and a little plant. and then fish. Obviously.

My fishtank cleaning days are done. I could see bringing a jar to the shore and putting a fish that someone has caught and plans to release...in fact, that's a pretty cool idea. I have a new friend that fishes down there quite often. He'd definitely let me borrow a fish for a minute.:D
