Sundown over broken ice

Tomorrow would have been the cut-off day for ice fishing.
I say "would have been" because nobody is out there, nor should they be....it's over.
Ladies and gentlemen...Elvis has left the building.

The ice is breaking up. The pressure crack I take so many pictures of is no longer a pressure crack, but a fissure...a space of open water between ice floes.
Unless you plan on swimming, you should probably avoid trying to walk on water.
Another beautiful day, I'll have another one just like that tomorrow, please.
