Phlox, that I picked on location, to take a picture, and get the lake to do the Bokeh 'magic'.
I love taking Bokeh shots, for two reasons.
It looks cool, and it makes you more consious of what is in the BACKGROUND of your pictures.
Bit of a pet peeve of mine...for example

A wonderful piece of art, with a pile of dirty laundry behind it.
A picture of someone in the mirror, with cool make-up, and in the background of the reflection, a roll of toilet paper.

When you aren't aware of ALL the component of your composition, sometimes there will be things that end up being a DISTRACTION, from what should be the CENTER of attention....at least for an obsessive personality, like myself.
Focusing on what will be out of focus, focuses your mind to be aware of the picture in it's ENTIRETY.

Oh, and believe me...I've taken enough pictures, that will NEVER see the light of day, because of something in the background that I didn't pay attention to, or was unable to do anything about.

This is in NO way a harsh critisism of any of you....it's just a foible of mine.
If this instruction saves you from taking pics that you aren't entirely happy with, then my job here is done....
