FLEDGLINGS!!!

Adam West, Burt Ward, and Yvonne Craig became fledglings today, and I witnessed it.

The robin parents were making a racket, and the grackles were noisy, so I ran into the back garden to shoo off the grackles.
After scaring them off my roof and away from our garden, I took a peek at the babies.
There was only one in the nest, the other two were in the branches around the outside of the nest.
As I peeked in, the first two flew, then the other left too.
I got to see all of them take their first flight.
Then a damned grackle tried to attack one of the babies.
The parents scared it off before I had a chance to do it for them.
Three babies, all, so far, safe.
If and or when I get a chance, I'll get a photo of them.
Once they're away from the nest, it's no guarantee of safety, but it increases the odds, because all three are no longer in the same place, and they can fly away from some threats.

I lied.
I deliberately overemphasized the issue.
When I said "everyone knows what's going on in that house", I knew it wasn't true.
But my tactic was intended to put fear and doubt into the mind of the crack dealer who used to live up the street (yes, the plan worked).
My knowledge of the side-effects of cocaine, I used them to intentionally unnerve and drive the guy that one of my GOOD neighbours (the mother of a police officer) calls "that BASTARD", out of our neighbourhood.
When he left, he told people that "too many people know I live here"
Yes. I said "everybody", I said "everyone" and he said "too many", before hopping it, less than a month after I posted the journal entry I entitled 'The Elephant In The Room'.
I've spoken to several neighbours that were completely oblivious to this cancer in our midst. They know now, but they didn't before I told them.
Nobody, by the way, was NOT horrified by the spectre of a pregnant woman being sold cocaine.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
If the owner of this property is wise, he'd refrain from renting to crack dealers in future, because if he does, I will begin using his name in my entries.
I promise you this, the landlord's furniture business will suffer if he tries turning this neighbourhood into a junkie's toilet again.
The Elephant In The RoomAt one time, York Regional Police were quite happily spending hundreds of thousands of tax dollars on treating me like a criminal. Shadowing me every time I left my house, constantly stopping and questioning me. Even phonying up a 'trespassing' charge after a fishing trip for incriminating evidence that included me being handcuffed and put in a cell.
Then they called me down to the station and threatened to bury me in charges if I showed up to court, another expense the taxpayers were burdened with.
Odd, then, that the traffic up and down this street has been noted by several neighbours, yet NOTHING has been done by local law enforcement.
YRP suggested to one neighbour that they should start investigating the bad guys themselves.
Everyone knows what's going on in that house. Everybody.
When you see desperate looking people bouncing back and forth to the house like yoyos, it ain't weed that's being sold.

What about the children?
Three kids, who's only 'crime' is having a mom who was convicted and served a sentence for murdering and raping teenage girls.
Her vile first-husband, who was raping and beating girls long before he met her, was the driving force behind the murders.

Three innocent kids, not to mention the new husband, the brother of her lawyer, who committed the apparently unforgivable sin of forgiving a woman who has seemingly changed from when she fell in with a murderous rapist from Scarborough.

Should taxpayers brace for the inevitable psychological problems the children will suffer that will almost certainly be caused by continuing to vilify this person?

She made a deal with law enforcement. Blame them for the bad deal.
She has stayed out of trouble, has not reoffended or committed further crime. She pays taxes, and she wants to be involved in her kid's school activities.
I think people trying to drum up hatred and fear of this woman are wasting tax dollars and destroying the innocent lives that hang in the balance.
Sad, really.

NOTE: I used the first, but not the last name. Not her maiden name. Not her first married name. Not her current name.
Not her first husband's name, may he rot in a jail cell for eternity.
I made an exception and used her first name, so everyone would know from the title where my opinion and concern lie.
My policy is to not give publicity to those who seek it through violence. The kids did nothing wrong, but their mom (who is decidedly NOT seeking publicity) is being treated like a monster.
No, I will NOT be signing any petition banning her from participating in her kid's lives.

Two Worlds in Canada by KeswickPinhead
Maybe that's what it is, I suppose there is a very good reason I'm less prone to fear terrorist attack.
It has to do with the way local cops behave.

I've been threatened by ISIS on Twitter. They sent me a video warning me that if I didn't convert I would be killed. (I didn't)
A video.

Nothing, compared to being roughed up, handcuffed and tossed into a cell.
Nothing, compared to being surrounded by cops menacingly making fists in their leather gloves.
Nothing, compared to threats of endless arrests and charges if I didn't simply let them have their way. (I didn't)

Thanks, York Regional Police, for giving me perspective on who the real terrorists are.
Criminal Cop Modus OperandiAfter reading Jeremy Grimaldi's informative report about what the Horsak family endured at the hands of York Regional Police http://www.yorkregion.com/news-story/7158034-family-spends-thousands-3-years-battling-police-assault-allegations/
it occurred to me that this may be YRP's routine approach to misdeeds they've committed, because they did a similar thing to me.
They beat the father and son, they tossed a phone (reported to be full of damning evidence) into a toilet. Then they laid charges against their victims, so that they could justify the beating.
In my case they roughed me up, handcuffed me, tossed me in a cell, then found out they'd fucked up and had nothing to prove the vile criminal accusations they'd been repeatedly making, so they charged me with 'trespassing'.
When they were given an opportunity to prove their disgusting and baseless insinuations, and justify treating me like a violent criminal, they folded.

When will local cops be held accountable? The Attorney General claims that they dropped these bullshit charges because proceeding with them, after THREE AND A HALF YEARS, was "not in the public interest". (see link below)
Not in the best interest of the criminal police they've been colluding with, is more like it.
York Regional Police assaulted two innocent people, then they phonied up some bullshit charges to cover their filthy tracks. The Attorney General went along for the ride, and for three and a half years, there was no sign of conscience.
What would be the reason to suddenly drop this case after three and a half years of tax money being spent by police and the court?
Because it's not in the "public" interest?
Wouldn't the public interest have been better served three and a half years ago, York Region?

The opioid crisis still rages, with fentanyl becoming a major cause of death, but there is good news and bad news.

The good news is, there are people who sell these opioids who are very interested in keeping their customers alive.
The bad news is, they want their customers to remain addicted to their product.

I have an analogy, from my experience with LSD.

Before I came along, and LSD experimentation was in it's infancy, people would get liquid LSD, and dose a sugar cube or something else.
The doses could vary, and people were flaking out all over the place. Scarborough Hospital's Tower Ten was full of kids who had a bad trip.
By the time I was using acid, microdots and blotters were the standard, and you could have far more confidence in the dose you were getting.
There were still people who suffered psychosis, but the numbers dropped, even as the numbers of people using acid increased.

Make no mistake about it, they are working on the best way to sell this stuff with minimal heat from police.
They don't want you dead, they want you in their control.
They want your money, not your life, but you'll lose both to your addiction.

Bad cop gets slap on wrist: KeswickPinhead SHOCKEDThis story was in the Toronto Sun, written by Michelle Mandel
I have thrown my "two cents" in, here and there, and changed some of the wording to reflect my feelings about the lack of leadership and the lawlessness among the York Regional Police Force.

For a real treat, read some of the comments left by the public.

That's what we're doing, at this point, isn't it?
Right now, in Canada, there are many Cannabis dispensaries, some legal, some not, some are in a kind of legal grey-zone (at least, that's the way the police are enforcing the law).
Whether or not your store, or place of work, is left alone or not seems quite arbitrary.
Example. Police have NOT raided the pot dispensary owned by a fellow cop, despite no legal difference between his business and those raided and robbed of their property by cops.
There are not a lot of jobs out there to be had. There are almost certainly some young pot dispensary workers who cannot afford to just turn down the opportunity of a wage.
Some of these people are being handcuffed and thrown in jail. They're being treated like criminals for the crime of wanting to be gainfully employed.

Should we really be punishing these young people, Justin Trudeau?

Hasn't this bad law done enough harm?

We even build and fund havens for those fleeing booze-fueled beatings from their spouses.
It got me wondering about the stats in places where cannabis is now legal.
How many people have been jailed for being under the influence of pot in public?
How much tax money has been spent jailing out-of-order weed users?
What is the number for those who were so out-of-control behind the wheel that they required police intervention?
Accidents caused by those out-of-control herb-using drivers?

When the police were called to justify "subduing" a father and son in their own home, and explain how the phone got in the toilet, they dropped the "assaulting a police officer" charges against the people the police assaulted.

Both cases, no evidence to justify their deeds. Both cases, no justice for the victims.

Here, again, is the 'Stunning Kunstler' quote you may notice I repost a lot.

"...and that’s the terrible myth of organized society, that everything that’s done through the established system is legal, and that word has a powerful psychological impact. It makes people believe that there is an order to life and an order to a system and that a person that goes through this order and is CONVICTED has gotten all that is due him, and therefore society can turn its conscience off and look to other things and other times. And that’s the terrible thing about these past trials, is that they have this aura of legitimacy, this aura of legality. I suspect that better men than the world has known, and more of them, have gone to their deaths through a legal system than through all of the illegalities in the history of man. 6 million people in Europe during the Third Reich. Legal. Sacco and Vanzetti. Legal. The hundreds of rape trials throughout the South where black men were condemned to death. All legal. Jesus. Legal. Socrates. Legal. All tyrants learn that it is far better to do this thing through some semblance of legality than to do it without that pretense."

An Open Letter To Mayor Margaret QuirkIt is not surprising to me that the lies York Regional Police spread are still being retold near the place that YRP did the lion's-share of their smear campaign, Kerfoot Crescent (near Highcastle Public Park).
It's come to my attention that people in this neighbourhood are calling me a "diddler".
This is a disgusting piece of phony gossip the police helped foster (shouting it loudly for all to hear will do that).
In light of the Donald Clark issue (where it was revealed that YRP covered up for Don Clark, who sexually assaulted multiple teenage girls over a span of decades) I would very much like for Chief Eric Joliffe to publicly apologize to me, for the ongoing harm and damage YRP have done to myself, my family and friends, and this neighbourhood in general.

The Campaign of Whispers               April 27 2007 was the first time I heard the disgusting allegations against me. The Geniole family, who formerly lived at 39 Highcastle, sent the police to my house to investigate their claim that I was “Looking at Children in the Park”.

Wondering if I'm alone on this...

When the news hit about people being mowed down by a vehicle in New Orleans, I thought terrorism, at first.
When I heard it was a drunk driver, I initially felt relief.....relief, that people had only been hurt or killed by someone impaired by alcohol.
Think about that for a second.
It seems I've become so accustomed to alcohol-related death and destruction, that I prefer it to death and destruction carried out for political ends.
Frankly (as a now-sober person) I'm terrified about that moral ambiguity, but it also got me thinking about how this view, that I am certain is not mine alone, affects, and costs, society.

Before Justin Trudeau thinks about pulling his promise of legal weed, I'd like to remind him, there are no weed tanks for taxpayers to pay for.
No, we only spend money on drunk tanks.
We spend taxes for damage caused by the very-legal substance.
Car crashes, refuge from violent spouses, the aforementioned holding cells, etc.
We prepare for the cost of this death and destruction because we know it will happen, this harm is expected by the public and the government.
Some early statistics show that alcohol and opiate consumption reduces in places where there is legal cannabis.

My heart goes out to all those affected by this horrible tragedy. This alcohol addict in recovery is deeply sorry. :(
Remnants of a Lazy Drunk by KeswickPinhead

An ADDICT speaks on AddictionBooze and Junk were my drugs of choice, but I wasn't too proud,
to take anything to get high.
I smoked anything that could be smoked, and I injected just about anything you could inject.
I ate handfuls of pills.
For years I abused Alcohol.
For years I abused Narcotics.
Over the years, I tried to quit on my own.
People tried to talk to me about quitting.
I was UGLY, I lashed out at those who cared.
A friend, who had just begun a methadone treatment, asked me "Do you see yourself doing this in ten years?"
"Don't you WANT to change?"
I went to a methadone clinic, to get a steady supply of Narcotics.
I was sick and tired of being sick and tired.
I was diagnosed with hepatitis C.
The doctor calmly told me that I could go on drinking, but it would kill me.
I left his office in tears, a wreck. I swore I would never drink again.
On the way home I bought a big can of beer, and drank it, cursing my weakness.
That was just about the last time I drank .
I have been sober for 10 years, Narcotic fre
STEPHEN HARPER: INFINITELY WORSESo, for those keeping score at home, Stephen Harper spent 7.5 million tax dollars for an ad campaign demonizing cannabis.
In that costly propaganda failure, he said that cannabis is 300 to 400% stronger today than 30 years ago...with zero proof to back that outrageous claim.

Now Harper says that cannabis is 'infinitely worse' than tobacco.
One would assume he pulled that statistic from the same orifice as the 300 to 400% hornswoggle.
I also have to wonder how much money the tobacco industry has donated to Stephen Harper and the 'progressive' 'conservative' party.
Nice wig though...
Stephen, he just wasn't ready.

Re comment below:
If cannabis is such a 'dinosaur' issue, why did Stephen Harper spend our money on those ads? If the issue is so dead, why did Harper compare tobacc
I have a working theory on the killing of Kim Jong Nam (KJN), based upon what I've heard so far.

This nerve agent, VX, is apparently composed of two chemicals that, on their own, are relatively harmless.

One of the two women who swabbed KJN's face came down with symptoms but did not die.
Officials surmise that both women were inoculated against VX, but only one got sick.

Could the two chemical components have been separately applied to KJN's face?
Would the chemical reaction happen under those circumstances?
It would explain only one woman showing symptoms, if she was the only one exposed to the combined formula.

Four men that were also implicated have, so far, eluded authorities.
Two women, used as cut-outs, fall guys, while the operatives that controlled them skipped away, presumably to North Korea and a reward.

Kim Jong Uhn could have killed his half brother in a much more private way. He chose to kill his relative in a place he knew there were cameras.
He was ready to sacrifice two women's lives to kill his brother in public with a deadly chemical weapon.
Going to say that's a red flag, right there.

Amusing to think that this is the reason a teenage me gave my parents for why we needed to buy our first microwave oven.

Microwave Ovens were a relatively new thing. More people were getting them, but many homes still did not have one.
Open Window Bakery, at the Scarborough Town Center, started asking people if they wanted their buttered bagels heated in this newish device.

Many of my friends loved these buttery zapped bagels. It was a new thing, and, for 50 cents, a cheap and fast meal.

Not many people would ask for their bagel to be popped in a microwave these days. Most people prefer either toasted, or plain.

Anyway, this was the reason I gave my mother.
Finally, my dad, who had grown used to using the microwave at his work, also started telling mom it would be a good idea.
Wondering...how many of you reading this have never known a home without a microwave in it?

Have a nice day, may all your bagels be toasted.

Paid agitators.
Astroturf, not real grass-roots opposition.
Yes, we've all heard these lines trotted out before, from both sides of the political spectrum, but now it's Trump's turn to rail at what he perceives to be the current 'nattering nabobs of negativity'.

I'd like to remind Donald Trump that the majority of American voters did not choose him.
The numbers of protesters is vast because so is the opposition to his policies.
They're not being paid, they're concerned about the fascist direction their country is heading.

Greetings to every person the president considers an enemy of the people on this day.
"The press is the enemy" - Richard Nixon (turfed from White House in shame)

Michael Flynn is fired by Trump, and Trump blames media pressure. Trump said Flynn is great, would do great job, as he pushed him under the bus.
I expect there to be further information that Donald Trump doesn't want you to see and hear, which is why he's trying to convince you to not pay attention.
He knows the noose is tightening. This Russia business isn't going away.

What did the president know, and when did he know it?

You may have noticed I'm not as enthusiastic about ousting Nancy Elgie as I've been about other circumstances.
Don't get me wrong, Nancy Elgie should step down, immediately, but I don't think that evidence of a pattern of racism has been proven.

Nancy Elgie said something she shouldn't have, and she should go, but I don't believe in my heart that Nancy Elgie is a monster.
There certainly hasn't been a flood of people coming forward with similar stories of Nancy Elgie hurling racist slurs.
No. One time.
One time too many, but one time.
I've spoken with Nancy Elgie, on more than one occasion. I once spoke with her husband, too.
I know them both to be people who have done good for this community, and I will not ignore those contributions because of one slip, as horrendous as some may think it is.
She needs to go, but let's put away the *expletive-deleted* pitchforks and torches, OK?

They say an unexamined life is not worth living. This evening I took small part in a documentary called 'Employable Me' that will feature my nephew Riley, :iconthenoblepirate:.
For the sake of not spoiling anything I will not reveal details, but the documentary's goal is to prove that having neurological conditions, such as Tourette's or Autism, shouldn't make people unemployable.

I hope everything goes well, with the project and with the way they portray Riley.
I don't care how they portray me, but I am very protective of my family.
