I have to remove all garden on road allowance14 days to remove my stuff from the front corner, and the boulevard.
Not enough time.
They CLAIM they will treat everyone equally.

I'm calling the Mayor in the morning, this is ridiculous.
I always thought improving the look of your home was a GOOD thing.
This started as a claim that they were merely interested in safety and sightline, and has turned into "It's our property take it away or we'll remove it and charge you for doing it".
Disgusting.
If they DO go ahead and start telling everyone to remove THEIR stuff, there will be an EXODUS from this neighbourhood.
People are going to MOVE because of petty moves by small minded unelected officials.

Very sore today.
Broke my shovel, and very nearly broke my BACK.
My mom, not normally one to stand up to authority is FUMING.
She says "Let 'em come and do it, I'll tell them I'll pay it when EVERYONE ELSE is made to comply".
I also suggested we could take it to court.

In the interest's of sitting under the Linden Tree and finding the TRUTH, Craig why not post a photo of the offending verge so we know what your talking about.
We have the same arguement here in Perth WA for truncated corners. I believe the crux of their arguement was that (a) The plants should be no higher than an infant on a tricycle.(b)The colours should be neutral. Our argument was that they broke their own rules with their vegetated median strips.

I have pictures of it, but haven't posted them, other than the hosta pics...I suppose there might be some others.
I've been putting it off, because it really wasn't filled in yet.
Ironically, even IF I put grass back, which I am going to...the ajuga, creeping jenny and some of the seedum will come back anyway.
These idiots could follow through with their threats of doing it THEMSELVES at great expense to us, and they STILL wouldn't get rid of it.
Quite simply, the plants I used are MORE effective than grass.
They will bounce back and flourish, I just have to wait longer, that's all.
The hight restrictions are about knee high. They have rules that they don't adhere to, but enforce...hypocrites.
In the end, it will not be grass that takes over, and it DAMN sure isn't going to be weeds, like on the places they "tend".

The argument just went away.
I told the guy that came out first, that said he "liked" what I was doing, only to rat me out to his superiors.
I said, "You might not know it, but you are looking at the future".
What can I say, I've always been ahead of the curve.
