I mean, I've heard of the Taj Mahal, The Eiffel Tower....hell, I've even heard more about the CN Tower, in Toronto (OK, so maybe that's because I lived there).
It baffles me that this amazing piece of architecture is NOT more widely celebrated for the wonderful structure that it is.
The building, based upon a crystallised molecule of iron, is a joy to behold, and it should have broader recognition for being a world treasure, EASILY EQUAL to those mentioned above, and many other great structures.
It saddens me that I've been deprived of enjoyment for all these years.

Twirly For Santa
It's too early for Santa, so the sounds I hear coming from my roof must be the roofers removing the old shingles.
New roof, the next four hours or so will be filled with the sound of the nail gun.
Then it's peace on roof, goodwill to Santa's new landing strip.
Here is a photo of the old roof, taken seven years ago. Thankfully we don't have snow like this right now.
Physically Impossible For Someone To Go 12 Days?

Trump can't keep up with the mass shootings
Donald Trump is too lazy to type individual condolence tweets for the mass shootings that occur on his watch.
He cuts and pastes, but he was also too lazy to change the name to the latest mass murder that occurred on his watch.
Sad, and indicative of the reality of America, right now.
Far from making anything safe, the number of mass murders seem to be increasing under the Trump administration.
But hey, Trump says we can all safely say 'Merry Christmas' again, so there's that...

Sightline My Eye
A few days ago, my eighty four year old mother got a note by our door, instructing her to pick up a Registered Letter from Georgina Township.
She had to travel to the other end of town to pick it up.
"This notice is to inform you that the Roads Division has identified a sightline issue at 2 Kerfoot Crescent" says the letter.
This so-called 'Sightline issue' was frivolous waste of taxes.
Roads Superintendent Scott Edwards blamed the issue on "the student".
The problem?
Siberian Irises.
They are not a sightline issue. Nor was the "grass high" at any time in the summer, as Scott Edwards also tried to suggest.
