"Those people don't vote, though"
Heard this from a couple of people who think Presumptive Republican Candidate, Fascist Donald Trump is going to win.
Any guesses as to who "those people" might be?
People of Hispanic or African heritage, of course, not that it's true.
Interesting that people leaning that way can imagine Trump winning, though, isn't it?
More people should exercise their right to vote, but counting on a block of voters staying away from the polls is NOT a path to victory.
Unless, of course, laws are passed to obstruct people from voting, as has been done in many Republican held states.
Even these roadblocks won't stop the flood of people currently registering to vote.
I get the feeling that a lot of American citizens can't wait to tell Donald Trump "you're fired".
Unlike those who think Blacks, Hispanics, Muslims, and Women will not vote in record numbers in the next election, I hope Americans of all backgrounds will turn out in droves to reject Fascist Donald Trump.
Show the world you won't give in to fascism.

Twirly For Santa
It's too early for Santa, so the sounds I hear coming from my roof must be the roofers removing the old shingles.
New roof, the next four hours or so will be filled with the sound of the nail gun.
Then it's peace on roof, goodwill to Santa's new landing strip.
Here is a photo of the old roof, taken seven years ago. Thankfully we don't have snow like this right now.
Physically Impossible For Someone To Go 12 Days?
"A lot of people are saying it's physically impossible for someone to go through twelve days" said Trump cryptically on his return from Asia.
So true, there's never been, say, a song written about twelve days of Christmas, has there?
I'd wish everyone Season's Greetings, but like a lot of people, I'm exhausted after going through twelve days. :sarcasm:
Trump can't keep up with the mass shootings
Donald Trump is too lazy to type individual condolence tweets for the mass shootings that occur on his watch.
He cuts and pastes, but he was also too lazy to change the name to the latest mass murder that occurred on his watch.
Sad, and indicative of the reality of America, right now.
Far from making anything safe, the number of mass murders seem to be increasing under the Trump administration.
But hey, Trump says we can all safely say 'Merry Christmas' again, so there's that...

Sightline My Eye
A few days ago, my eighty four year old mother got a note by our door, instructing her to pick up a Registered Letter from Georgina Township.
She had to travel to the other end of town to pick it up.
"This notice is to inform you that the Roads Division has identified a sightline issue at 2 Kerfoot Crescent" says the letter.
This so-called 'Sightline issue' was frivolous waste of taxes.
Roads Superintendent Scott Edwards blamed the issue on "the student".
The problem?
Siberian Irises.
They are not a sightline issue. Nor was the "grass high" at any time in the summer, as Scott Edwards also tried to suggest.
